Yakushi-no-Yu (Hot Spring)
The grounds feature "Yakushi-no-Yu" (opened for the season on April 11 this year). Its water — a sulfur-calcium-sodium sulfate-bicarbonate spring at 71.4°C — flows completely fresh (kake-nagashi) without recirculation. The mystical water, which turns milky white when mixed with fresh water, is open to worshippers, offering purification of body and mind under the protection of Yakushi Nyorai.
